Japanese woodblock (ukiyo-e) print by the great master Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797 - 1858). Entitled "Hamamatsu: Winter Scene" ("Hamamatsu, fuyugare no zu"), this print is from Hiroshige's series "Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido" ("Tokaido gojusan tsugi no uchi") or "Hoeido Tokaido". Ca. 1833 - 1834. This print appears to be from the original run or a very early recut. It has all of the features of most originals, with the exception of the black stamp on the left margin, which is either not present or has rubbed off. Blled through on reverse, printed on handmade paper, and with two pin holes at the upper margin. Foxing and wear on the paper itself, darkening of paper and fading of colors. a. ADDRESS: NEA is not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses. Buyers must verify the shipping address listed on their invoice prior to shipment. Standard items packed internally by NEA will ship approximately one to fourteen business days after payment.
b. INSURANCE: All lots in transit require insurance at a rate of 1% on the total invoice.
c. OVERSIZE/SPECIAL: Certain auction items exceed standard shipping fees and may require over-sized and heavy shipping surcharges. Every effort is made to note these charges prior to catalog publication, but may be included on a shipping invoice post auction without notice.
d. INTERNATIONAL: NEA welcomes international buyers. NEA does offer limited in-house shipping for international buyers. Please contact us prior to the auction for quotes and more information. It shall be the potential buyer’s sole responsibility to research and satisfy the requirements of any laws and regulations that apply to the import and export of property and for paying all shipping costs, customs and duties on the items. NEA will not, declare lesser values for any international purchases and all shipments will include the invoice with purchase totals including the buyer’s premium and shipping cost.
