Published group of hand colored lithgraphs, entitled "Le Chaperon Rouge: Contes Illustres pour Enfants" (Little Red Riding Hood: Illustrated Stories for Children). Edited by F.C. Wentzel of Wissembourg and Paris (Lithographie et Typographie de F.C. Wentzel, 1869). French, ca. mid 19th century. Misprint on first page of "1689". Lithographs include the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and other fairy tales, including perhaps Cinderella. Print also on cover of Little Red Riding Hood, and the includsion of an 1889 illustrated edition of Rip Van Winkle. Condition as is, with expected wear / aging on prints, some tears along edges.
