Full size (4/4) violin, produced by Vuillaume. French, ca. mid to late 19th century. Body: 14" long. Neck: 9 1/2" long. Total length: 23 1/2" long. Marked on reverse of body: "Vuillaume a Paris". Violin is painted with floral designs, scrollwork, and starburst - trellis designs over a black base. Violin is unstringed, with no bridge, tailpiece, or chinrest. Some loss of wood on scrollwork f-holes. Soundpost is present but seems to have shifted. Body is likely spruce top, maple back and neck. Wear / paint loss around edges. Includes a signed W.P. Schuster bow, (not very straight). 29 1/4" long. Includes case.
