A collection of six Mughal Indian / Indo-Persian miniature paintings, most with Persian calligraphy. India / Pakistan, ca. 18th - 19th century. All pieces are matted and tabbed with labels on reverse, ready for framing. Four of the paintings depict Mughal men carousing and drinking, while the other two show the Shah or Emperor with their harem. There seem to be two pairs of pages, each from the same respective manuscript. Condition: good overall. minor wear as expected. All pieces have writing on the reverse side, as well as most having inscriptions on the obverse. As matted, between 10" tall by 10" wide to 17 14" tall by 11" wide.
