Group of six carvings (African in origin with several pieces by the Makonde people). The tallest of these, an elaborate statuary of people standing on the shoulders of their fellows measures approximately 17" high with a base diameter of 4 1/2". The smallest piece, a simple carved figure of a woman stands just 7" high. All of these pieces exhibit wear in their respective finishes in addition to nicks and scuffs.
