Philippine kalis sword. Moro people, Mindanao, Philippines. Filipino, ca. Late 19th century. This kalis has a separate gangya that has been forged to the blade. Straight blade into wavy curves. Curved hilt with jute / rattan wrappings. Hand forged steel with brass and copper inlay. Minor imperfections / oxidation in the steel. Minor loss of inlay at points. Blade: 21 ¼” long.
