Oil on panel painting by noted French artist Leon Alfred Benoit (1860 - 1915). Entitled “Trees and Wildflowers in Spring”, this painting depicts a spring in the French countryside. Benoit uses a loose brush stroke to assemble a beautiful scene of verdure in the country. Signed in lower right, and with identifying label on reverse. Framed. Good condition overall, with one distracting cavity in top of panel that should be repaired / filled. Measurements: 18 ¼” wide by 12 ¼” tall (panel), 21 7/8” wide by 15 7/8” tall (framed).
