Originally worn by the royal courts of the Asante (or Ashanti) region of Ghana, this kente of a more recent vintage (1998 according to a label affixed by safety pin by its original owner) measures approximately 81" x 132" and is in excellent condition. There are only a few instances of loose threads at the stitched ends. From the carefully curated collection of a Pan Am flight attendant, in service between the years of 1954 and 1984.
