Arnaldo Gentili (Italian [Bologna], 1890 - 1988), "La Processione alla Fontana di Nettuno, Bologna" (The Procession at the Fountain of Neptune, Bologna). 1957. Oil on canvas over board. Signed and dated in lower left. Gentili was a renowned Bolognese painter, who was well known for his paintings of the streets of city of Bologna. This painting depicts a religious procession passing by various churches and the Fountain of Neptune. Painting is in good condition overall. Minor marks on paint surface. Minor wear on reverse of painting. Framed in gilt wood frame, good condition with minor wear. 24 3/4" wide by 31 1/4" tall (opening), 25 1/2" wide by 32" tall (board), 28 1/2" wide by 35" tall by 2 1/2" wide (frame).
