Manufactured in France in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Marked Etranger. Tested. Works. Includes key to lock chest but the locking mechanism is defective. The hinges to the hatch to the inner workings have been removed (so they are at present slightly more cumbersome to access). Possible refinishing on the case itself but the lid and its decoration appear original and untouched. Comb is missing one tine at the extreme far right, and six tines appear repaired.
