Two paintings of Meriden, CT by local artist John Backstrom (1899 - 1983). One painting is of Mirror Lake with Mine Island, and Castle Craig in the background. Oil on canvas. The other is a Central Connecticut landscape. Oil on Canvas Panel. Both framed. Good condition overall, in need of a cleaning. Measurements: Mirror Lake is 20" wide by 12" tall (canvas), 23 3/4" wide by 15 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" deep. Landscape is 16" by 12" (panel), 18 1/2" wide by 14 3/8" tall by 1 1/4" deep.
