Two graters constructed of wood and sharpened rock used by the Wai Wai tribe of Northern Brazil to process raw Cassava for consumption. Boards are roughly the same size with the slightly larger of the two measuring approximately 29 1/2" high and 12" wide and are in fine condition given their age with pigments depicting a frog and a lizard respectively still clearly visible. The smaller piece has a worn tag from "Artindia..." affixed on verso, presumably the vendor of the piece. Both are equipped to be hung with small hooks screwed into the backs of the pieces.
