A fascinating vintage Chinese carved wood chair, ca. late 19th to early 20th century. Back is hand carved with a bat in the top panel and a mendicant in the lower panel. A sacred fungus / mushroom motif is found at the top, and rose patterns at the bottom decoration under seat front. Two bi discs or coins are found on either side of the central panel, and scrolling throughout. Condition: good with expected wear and patina. Possible repairs with glue. Measurements: 36" tall by 19 3/4" wide by 15 1/4" deep. Note: not eligible for in-house shipping. Please make pick up arrangements.
