Pair of marked 14 karat yellow gold earrings with large Roman bronze coins (follis?). Possibly produced by Hans Cullmann of Germany. Coins are late 3rd - early 4th century AD issues of Co Emperors Diocletian (r. 284 - 305) and Maximian (r. 286 - 305). Each earring has a clamp back, and is set with 4 clear glass stones and 4 deep blue gemstones, testing in the spinel / topaz range. Earrings are in good condition, coins are legible on obverse, with more wear on reverse. 37 to 38 mm across. Total gross weight: 50.5 grams / 32.4 dwt.
