Antique child's yelek vest from the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman (Turkish), ca. 19th - early 20th century (?). The vest has gold thread, elaborately embroidered in detailed patterns, over deep red velvet. Starburst / floral and swirl patterns, some appearing similar in shape to paisley / boteh. Multiple knobs with coral beads. A museum quality piece. Expected wear from age / use. Ink writing on interior. Sewn onto wooden and metal stand, with glass case. Case needs repair. Vest measurements: about 12" tall by 14" wide.
