The majority of the pieces in this group (art, small idols, fragments of vessels) are believed to have originated at the Bura archaeological sites in Niger and Burkina Faso. A ceramic bust believed to be Nigerian and quite ancient (estimated 2,000 years old) is also included. The largest shipping item is an intact jug with a diameter of 22 1/4" at its widest.
