Punched tape mechanical music player. Component inside the case is stamped with the name United Air Cleaner Corporation of Chicago, IL, a company active in the 1930's. In size and shape the device is similar to a cylinder player, however sound is derived from a punched paper spool feeding between two contacts (according to the limited instructions on an affixed label). The included spool is unfortunately broken and there is no crank to wind the machine so this is untested and sold as-is. The leather case exhibits some degradation and the clasps for the (now missing) lid are quite rusted. Device measures approximately 10 3/4" in width, 7" in height and 8 1/2" in depth. Heavy shipping item. Please inquire regarding shipping rates prior to bidding. keywords: organ, piano roll, vintage, unique, phonograph
