Gouache on paper maritime landscape painting by American artist J. Anthony Buzzelli (1907 - 1983). Buzzelli was a noted painter who painted both landscapes and abstract works, demonstrating the change occurring in Western art in the 20th century. This painting of Gaspe in Quebec, Canada shows Buzzelli's deft handling of gouache paint to create an engaging picture of a time and feeling. Framed. Vera Lazuk Gallery tag on reverse of frame. Not examined outside of frame. Painting seems to be in good condition, frame in good condition overall, minor expected wear. 19 1/2" by 14" (opening), 28" by 22" by 1 1/4" (frame).
