Hudson River School landscape painting, oil on Devoe academy board. American, Late 19th century. Signed and dated in lower right corner, "ASM 1893". This painting depicts a landscape on a river or lake (possibly the Hudson River itself?), with mountains to the sides. A forest is shown in the right foreground, and there is a ship on the water in the background. Good condition, minor wear and discoloration due to age. Framed in gilt gesso and wood frame.Some loss of gesso on frame. Painting: 18 1/2" by 10 1/4". Frame: 23 1/4" by 15 1/4" by 3 1/4".
