Sterling silver figural serving spoon produced by Gorham Manufacturing company of Providence, RI. American, ca. late 19th - early 20th century. This spoon is part of the Sea Life series, as the handle of the spoon is a branch in faux bois, with a scalloped bowl, a figural crab on a vegetal tuft that joins the spoon bowl to the handle. Initialed at center of bowl "BME". Bowl is parcel gilt. Very nice condition, minor wear on gilding of bowl, but otherwise in excellent condition. About 11 3/4" long. Total weight: 4.7 OZT.
