Grouping of items from a world traveler's tours of Africa and India. Included here, from Africa: a hand carved painted Calabash gourd bowl (likely from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso or Mali), a turtle shell Buchu container with woven bead adornment (likely Namibian), a Heddle Pulley (believed Ivory Coast in origin), a hollowed gourd with hole bored into it (a water carrying vessel), a Cane woven fan and a bronze pipe (believed Cameroon or Ivory Coast in origin). The pipe is unfortunately broken where the stem portion meets the decorative bowl. With the two pieces joined, this is the largest shipping item measuring approximately 15" long and 4" wide at its widest point. From India: a vintage Indian Rosewood carved jewelry box (whose floral brass inlay is unfortunately missing, its bottom piece is cracked and separating from the rest of the structure and there is some sort of adhesive residue present on the front). All items exhibit wear consistent with their age but are in fine condition otherwise (except where previously noted). From the collection of a world traveler of 45+ years who has circumnavigated the globe via sailboat. Keywords: smoking, drinking, ceremonial, storage
