Cylinder player. Latest patent date on manufacturer plaque is June 30, 1893. Crank missing and as such, item is untested. Unit appears to have been remounted to the base at some point. Oak finish and decals appear original and are in generally fine shape. There is a very small instance of wood puttying on the back of the device. Base unit measures approximately 16 1/2" wide, 10" high and 8" deep (12" high with lid). The standard horn has been replaced with a "Silk-Finish" Horn and the case has been equipped with a bracket and arm to support it. Bracket and horn measure approximately 35" long with a 22 1/2" opening in the horn. Paint inside horn appears original and is in generally very fine shape. Some damage present on the outside however; fabric panels are peeling away from where they were adhered and there are chips in the metal construction. Item does keel slightly forward under weight of horn. Sold as-is. Not eligible for in-house shipping. Keywords: antique, antiquarian, vintage, music, recording
