This piece is in a less pristine state than the former with a sizable hole in the knit towards the bottom of the bag and a large number of beads missing from the caps at the end of the drawstrings. One circa 1930 Silver Whiting & Davis accordion-top expanding gate mesh bag. In overall fine shape. Some tarnish on the metallic components and slight staining in the lining. Two mesh handbags. One in gold with the red and black accents, the other in green with red and purple accents. Pieces are in generally fine condition but on both, the mesh is separating slightly from the clasp portion. One silver chainmail mesh handbag with metal clasp. Some wear and tear evident. The chain has broken free from one side and the mesh is separating from the clasp at the other. A single decorative teardrop shaped bead is missing from the bottom of the piece. One enameled mesh handbag in cream with black and pink accents. In overall fine condition. Minor separation of mesh from the clasp portion on one side. Two silver mesh coin purses. One is in fine condition (just slight separation of the mesh from the clasp portion). The other exhibits some green discoloration, a broken link in the chain resulting in a jagged piece jutting out, warping of the finger loop shape and some separation in the mesh from the clasp portion. One white beaded and embroidered coin purse. In excellent condition. Small mirror wrapped in wax paper found inside. One enameled mesh coin purse in beige with a floral wreath embellishment. In fine condition but for some chipping in the paint and tarnish in the clasp portion. A single decorative bead is missing from the bottom of the piece.
