Cybis porcelain limited edition sculpture, "Beatrice". Produced by Cybis Porcelain Art Studio, Trenton, NJ. American, mid 20th century. Sculpted by Lazlo Ispanky (Hungarian - American, 1919 - 2010), a noted sculptor in his own right. Statue portrays Beatrice, the muse of the famed Medieval Italian poet, Dante Aligheri. Portrait bust is on a wooden plinth, and marked on reverse "Cybis (c) #105". Edition of 500. Good condition. 12 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" wide.
