Unsigned painting entitled "Cossack Horse-Race". Likely Russian, ca. late 19th - early 20th century. Painting depicts a horse race in the Steppes of Russia amongst Cossack horsemen. Similar to Russian Realism and Orientalism, such as works by Ilya Repin (Russian, 1844 - 1930). Condition: good overall, some darkening of varnish and some paint separation. Framed in gilt wood frame (aged). Panel: 16 6/8" wide by 8 3/8" tall. Frame: 21 1/2" wide by 13 1/2" tall by about 2 1/4" deep.
