Cylinder player. Manufactured by the Columbia Phonograph Co. Serial # 288464. Last patent date on manufacturer plate: Mar 30, 1897. Crank missing and as such, this piece is untested. Metal base mount exhibits oxidation. Finishes on base unit and lid are noticeably different so this is likely a marriage of parts. Finishes appear original as do the decals on the case (which are exhibiting quite a bit of deterioration). Oak finish on the base appears fine by and large while on the lid (hueing closer to mahogany) cracking, warping and peeling is evident. An approximately 1/4" wide piece of wood has splintered off from the rear of the base. Base unit measures approximately 13" wide, 12" high and 8" deep (13" high with lid attached). Sold as-is. Heavy shipping item. May require multiple boxes due to number of components. Please inquire regarding shipping rates prior to bidding. Keywords: antique, antiquarian, vintage, music, recording
