Collection of various denominations of coins and paper currency from the Soviet Union (USSR). Early to late 20th century. 47 coins in total, including two coins from the Tsarist Russian Empire (pre-1917). Includes Rubles and Kopecks. 6 coins are silver, including one 1921 ruble, three 1924 rubles, one 1924 50 kopeck / poltinnik, and a 1912 Tsarist 20 kopecks. Other coins are cupro-nickel, and are various circulating coins from throughout the 20th century, including a number of commemorative rubles. These commemorative rubles celebrate monuments like the Peterhof Palace and the Church of the Dormition, events such as the Second World War, and people such as Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Anton Chekhov. Two 1991 series 10 ruble notes, and one 1961 series 3 ruble note. One Russian flag pin. One 1976 Greek 5 drachmai coin with Aristotle on the obverse. Silver is 90% for rubles and poltinnik, and 50% for Tsarist 20 kopeck coin. Total silver weight: 3 OZT. Condition: circulated.
