Collection of 49 Edison cylinder phonograph records. Ca. late 19th - early 20th century. These wax cylinders were played on an early iteration of the phonograph, designed by Thomas Edison. Most of these records are Edison Gold Moulded Records, with a few Columbia Records mixed in. Genres include opera, popular music, minstrel songs, waltzes, dances, vaudeville acts, and more! A few of the records seem to have been imported from Europe, as the cases are in German and the songs are in Czech. A slice of American history that you can listen to! Condition: all of these records seem playable, and a few have been on Edison Record Players. Minor wear, mildew / mold as expected with extreme age.
