Huge grouping of over 330 medals and ribbons issued at events commemorating the Civil War. Most Included here are from Connecticut-based units and organizations. The majority of this collection is housed in labeled binders in protective sleeves, organized by regiment. Included here, materials pertaining to the CT 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th regiments, the 1st and 2nd CT Heavy Artillery regiments, the 1st CT Light Artillery regiment and the CT Cavalry. One additional binder of memorial dedication ribbons throughout the area is included. In riker boxes are displays of 4 ribbons concerning the New Haven Grays and 15 concerning the 25th CT Regiment. A large number of medals/ribbons and ephemera remain unsorted in bins. The condition of the pieces in this group vary greatly but most are in very good condition given their age. Large shipping item.
