Enamel on copper plate. Scene of fairies and gnomes in a forest setting. Believed to be the work of American artist Carol Balatti (1913 - 1995) as indicated by a letter from Balatti's daughter, Linda. Artwork measures 11 1/2" x 8 1/2" and is in excellent condition. Wooden frame measures 20 3/8" x 17 1/2" x 1 1/2" and is in a distressed style. There is some foxing exhibited on the linen matting. Keyword: midcentury, fantasy, fairytale, enamel, art
