Signed oil on canvas painting by C.T. Mitchell (late 19th - early 20th century). Little is known of Mitchell, except that his paintings show scenes of Meriden, Connecticut. Mitchell may have even been a pseudonym for noted Handel Lamp artist Frederick Matzow. This painting shows a Meriden scene, likely of Hubbard Park, with white birch trees and a small waterfall. The painting is luminous, with gentle light coming through the trees at top center, above the waterfall. Framed.
