Two pieces by C.T. Mitchell, possibly a pseudonym utilized by Meriden, CT based Norwegian/American artist Frederick Matzow (1861 - 1938). Both landscapes are rendered via pastel on board and signed within the works. Their dimensions are as follows: both artworks measure approximately 27 1/2" wide and 13 1/2" high while their wooden frames both measure approximately 31 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" high and 1 1/2" deep. Art appears to be in fine condition but the two have not been inspected out of their frames. The frames exhibit some overall wear to their finish (with the piece depicting a pastoral field by day exhibiting some chipping on the sides of its respective frame). Large, heavy shipping items. Multiple boxes may be necessary to transport this group. Please inquire regarding shipping rates prior to bidding. Keywords: camping, countryside, forest, art
