This book reproduces an Italian manuscript complied by a 17th century priest of drawings and sketches by famous Italian artists of the Renaissance, including Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raffaello Sanzio (Raphael), Giotto di Bondone, Masaccio, Albrecht Durer, and many others. This original book, originally titled "Galleria Portabile" (Portable Gallery), is a major repository of Italian Renaissance art and information about these artists and their works. This facsimile edition was printed as part of the "Fontes Ambrosiani in Lucem Editi Cura et Studio Bibliothecae Ambrosianae", edition XXIX (29). Printed in Milan. Leather spine, hard bound. Condition: Fair / Good, wear on binding / spine, minor discoloration. 21" long by 15 1/2" wide by 3" deep.
