Late 19th century Lorieux, Ponthus No. 4041 brass sextant sold by A. Hurlimann, Ponthus and Therrode (Paris). Displays wear and patina consistent with age, some oxidization and green discoloration. The lenses exhibit fogging and the mirrors some de-silvering. The original wooden case has sizable cracks running the width of both top and bottom but neither appear to greatly affect the overall structure.
