Antique inlaid wood tea caddy with burl wood veneer and classical elements. Most likely English, ca. late 18th - mid 19th century (George III - Victoria). The top of the box shows a tripod vas with fruit and vegetal motifs, alongside two cupids / putti. The sides show a similar floral fantasy, with a satyr head and two birds. Interior is tin-lined. Has a keyhole but no key, box does open. Condition: good overall, with expected wear from age. Minor veneer loss and some warping on lid. One split in wood at base. Box measures about 4" by 4" by 4".
