Three volume set of Charles Dickens's "Master Humphrey's Clock" from 1840 and 1841. First edition, published in London by Chapman & Hall on the Strand. Includes the illustrations of George Cattermole and Hablot Browne. Hardcover bound with red leather and gilt tooling. Condition: fair / good, with wear on spine, some breakage on leather portions, wear at corners, edges, etc. Tears and binding separation, spotting, yellowing and wear within. Text is clear, no pages seem to be missing, and overall appearance is handsome. 10 3/16" long by 6 7/8" wide by 3" deep. Two volumes of Vice President Henry Wilson's "History of the Rise and Fall of the Slave Power in America". 1872 Houghton Mifflin & Co. edition. Hardcover bound in green cloth. Condition: good, minor wear on cover and spine, all pages seems present. 9 1/4" tall by 6 1/2" wide by 4" deep.
