Collection of 9 Russian lacquer boxes with traditional fairy tale scenes. Russian (Soviet / Federation), ca. late 20th - early 21st century (contemporary). Scenes from various fairy and folk tales, including the Golden Cockerel (the queen of Shamaka), and two include images of troikas (three horse sleds). One box has a pull out drawer, and another is shaped like a scallop shell. Good condition, minor wear as expected. Produced in Palekh, Mstyora, and Kholui. 3 1/8" to 6" wide.
