Collection of seven unusually shaped Russian boxes and similar objects. Russian (Soviet / Federation), ca. late 20th - early 21st century (contemporary). Two lacquer eggs, one with an icon of the Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus. The other egg has a troika (three horse sled) scene). One horseshoe shaped lacquer box with the tale of Ruslan and Ludmilla with the Giant Head. One double box with a spherical center, showing perhaps the Tale of the Golden Pike Fish. One fish shaped box with two mermaids. One pipe shaped box with handle and base, showing various figures and scenes. One star shaped box with a fairy tale scene.
