Pair of open salts, constructed out of wood with tortoise shell veneer, sterling silver accoutrements, and porcelain bowls. British or American, ca. late 19th - early 20th century. Marked only "T.H. & S" in a shield shaped cartouche. Good condition, minor wear / patina on silver. 1 1/2" tall by 3 5/8" wide.
