Two Handel Ware humidors with images of monks. Produced by the Handel Company, Meriden, CT. American, ca. late 19th - early 20th century. Transfer and hand painted decorations of monks and various bathroom / kitchen objects. Both marked on bottom. One has writing in thick gold paint on bottom, "Uncle Joe, xo Arthur". Good condition, minor wear and patina as expected. One tab has broken off one lid. 5 3/4" tall by about 4 1/4" wide.
