Lot of two vintage / antique violins, one of which is a reproduction of a Stradivarius violin. American and German, early 20th century.
H.A. Fischer violin, replica of Stradivarius. Two interior labels: "H.A. Fischer Geigenbauer M-N. 1921" and "Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis". Stradivarius label is partially covered, also includes "A.S." stamp with cross and hand-numbered number, partially obscured. 24" violin (full size). Spruce top with tiger maple back and neck. Appears to be a mahogany fretboard. Sound Post is present. Condition: in need of restoration. Separation on bottom of violin, wear around edges. Finish is worn off on top of body and on back of neck. Includes unmarked bow with mother of pearl inlay. Straight.
Allen S. Martin violin. Made in York, PA. Interior label reads "Made by Allen S. Martin York, PA No. 111 1918". Spruce top with tiger / curly maple back and neck. Fretboard appears to be mahogany. 24" long (full size). Sound Post is present. Condition: good overall, may need a tune-up but is in relatively handsome condition. Wear on back of neck and high points, finish is strong. Includes two bows, need to be re-haired. Both straight, one is marked "Japan".
Both violins include cases, with various items (old rosin, strings, etc.).
