1927 $20 Double Eagle gold coin, designed by famed American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens (Irish / American, 1848 - 1907). This coin is in a plastic holder, and is ungraded. Wear at high points, such as on Liberty's chest, exposed leg, and on bridge of nose. Otherwise, detail is very crisp and beautiful, though some contact marks are present. Coin has good luster, and is a magnificent example of Saint-Gaudens's inmmense talent. Coin is 90% gold. Total weight: approximately 33.46 grams.
