Brilliant Uncirculated 1908 Saint Gaudens $20 gold piece (Double Eagle) with no motto "In God We Trust". Designed by the famed American sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens (American, 1848 - 1907), this coin is considered the most beautiful of all United States issues. The motto was not included in the original design by Saint-Gaudens at the behest of President Theodore Roosevelt, who did not like the motto's inclusion on United States currency. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Brilliant Uncirculated. Weight: 33.5 grams. Net weight: 0.9675 OZT of pure gold. Diameter: 34 mm.
