Uncirculated 1883 Carson City Morgan silver dollar, slabbed by the General Services Administration (GSA) in 1972. These coins were struck at the Carson City Mint (CC) after the discovery of the Comstock Lode of silver in Nevada. This example was part of the GSA Hoard, a large discovery of uncirculated Morgan dollars in Treasury vaults in 1964. In box with certificate. Coin is in uncirculated condition, minor bag marks. Two more noticeable scratches on face. Additional paperwork identifies this coin as part of the "mixed category", though the uncirculated capsule and paperwork is still present. There is a crack in the capsule.
