Collection of 12 Russian lacquer boxes with traditional fairy tale scenes. Russian (Soviet / Federation), ca. late 20th - early 21st century (contemporary). Tales include Konok Garbunok (The Humpbacked Pony), Ruslan and Ludamilla, The Golden Cockerel, Sleeping Beauty, and the Golden Pike Fish. A few are gazebo type boxes. Good condition, minor wear as expected. Produced in Mstyora and Kholui. 2 1/4" to 4 3/4" tall. Includes 1997 copy of Lucy Maxym's "Russian Lacquer, Legends, and Fairy Tales".
