Set of 12 faience (glazed earthenware) plates with decorations of birds and plant life that appear painted on. European (likely French [Moustiers] or Italian), contemporary. Marked on base with unidentified initial marking and "IV" in Roman numerals. Most plates are in good condition, with some spots where the glaze did not reach in the kiln. Two pieces are damaged - one piece has a crack, and another has a chip in the rim. About 9 1/4" diameter.
